Asbestos Awareness Online Course

Did you know that asbestos kills an average of 4,500 people in Great Britain annually? This toxic mineral was previously used to construct homes and buildings because of its heat resistance and fibrous strength. Unfortunately, it was discovered later that asbestos is toxic and harmful to human beings. This prompted the government to pass laws forbidding asbestos from being used in building materials in the future.

The existing buildings with asbestos have put people in danger throughout the years because of their continuous exposure to this toxic mineral, especially in various work environments across the United Kingdom. That is why employees and managers must learn about asbestos and understand the dangers of being exposed to it.

Risk Safety Services offers an asbestos awareness online course which provides an overview of asbestos and the dangers of asbestos exposure in the workplace. Multiple industries have to deal with asbestos-related issues, which is why professionals from several of these industries have written our asbestos awareness online courses. It ensures that you will receive practical and relevant advice on the subject.

In addition to learning about the dangers of asbestos, you’ll learn how to identify the mineral and reduce exposure to it. Once you understand the likely places where asbestos is located in buildings, you’ll know where to take precautions if you ever work in these areas. You’ll also learn what to do if you are exposed to asbestos and how to satisfy the various legal regulations and requirements associated with having asbestos-containing materials in your building.

The asbestos awareness online course should take less than one hour to complete. If you have questions or wish to get started now, you can contact us at 0343 523 0410 or info@risksafetyservices.co.uk.
