Course Description
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, or ADHD for short, is the most common behavioural disorder in the UK. Estimates suggest between 2% and 5% of school-aged children and young people being affected, with most cases being diagnosed in children between the ages of 6 and 12.
The aim of this course is to help you recognise and understand the signs and symptoms and empower you with the information needed to help support someone with ADHD.
By the end of the course you will:
- Know the different types of ADHD and how they affect daily living
- Identify the signs, symptoms and causes of ADHD
- Understand medication and therapies
- Identify strategies for parents, teachers and carers.
Students can access the ADHD online course material 24 hours per day, seven days per week. When you pass the final assessment required at the end of the course, you will receive a certificate of completion to showcase your newfound knowledge of ADHD.
